The funny thing about names...

Apple says it's not a iPad 3, it's just "The New iPad."

They say people don't deal with numbers.  Um, yeah. Like they don't remember the manufacturing year of their car, or their phone number, or the number of children they have.

This is why the MacOS all have cat names, so you can remember the order.  Because it's obvious that Mountain Lion comes after Lion, and Lion came after Snow Leopard. 

But just go to a Mac and try to find what the cat name is for that version.  You have to dig, and it's not always there.  When it is, it's right next to the version number. 

We're sure it makes sense in Cupertino.  But outside of there... not so much.
