Dude, you had it so good, and blew it...

Just when it looked like Microsoft had Sony over the console gaming system spanking barrel, they fucking drop this ball.

A new firmware update, required to run new DVD media specifically designed for the platform, won't run on "older machines." 

Oh wait!  This just in.  Looks like MSFT is going to give Free New Systems to those who are affected.  In fact, the XBOX Live system (the system Playstation wishes they had) will be detecting the problem automatically and reaching out to affected users.  Now that's technology at work. 

Take THAT Sony.  You're back on the barrel.
