Frankly, we're perplexed. Given the devastation that British Petroleum, AKA "BP" so you don't realize that national origin, has visited on the United States Gulf we'd expect stronger actions at this point. Lives and ecology devastated. A blatant disregard for the native surroundings. A wimpy response, a prolonged outlook for recovery, if recovery is possible at all...
If this were a personal matter, someone's lawyer would have rushed in and seized BP's assets against redistribution to the injured parties. Hell, if it was an individual who injured a corporation that would have happened. But when a corporation injures an area, an ecology, a mass of people... we just get fucked.
There is no way that BP should come out of this little fiasco alive. It's amazing to hear them say that the fault lay "with a defective part." No fuckwads, the fault lay with the corporation that took the lowest bid to build using that part. It lays with the corrupt corporation that instigated inferior processes to check on that part. It lays squarely and solely with you, and your corporation should be disassembled and sold for parts to pay for it.
And you deserve to be wiped off the face of the Earth for this. You should be used as a bloody head on a pole as an example for all the other slimy, oily bastards who want to drill off the coasts.
