Six more days...
With a fury of warnings not seen since Y2K, the television industry prepares one final week of letting you know that your antique TV may stop working on July 12th.
Why the fury? If you haven't bought a new TV in the last 20 years, you're probably not a high consumer of products on television.
For us, it is a welcome date for two reasons:
No more of those warning messages "If you can't see this message, you need help!"
No more calls from ignorant people who want to know if their cable TV will continue to work.
Put some perspective on this kids. Even if you're lame enough to fail on day one, a single stop by the store on day two and you're back in business. It's not like a day without TV will kill you.
