A week of excuses #6: Emergency dentist appointment
Lost a filling. Lost a cap or broke a tooth may sound better, but most of the time those take several days to fix and you'd have temporary work in your mouth. Fillings over live nerves can be incredibly painful, but relatively easy to fix, you may have had to wait a few hours for an opening in your doctor's office. You can explain how lucky you were that he was able to fix it at all that day. Again, you can explain how even breathing, the air moving over the open space in the tooth, shot pain up into your head. The beauty here is that there are usually folks who have had similar situations that will help explain how amazingly painful that can be.
