Happy Leap Day
We know this is confusing so we'll walk you through it.
Because the earth takes slightly less than a year to make it's trip around the sun, adjustments have to be made to the calendar to keep things on track, keep the seasons on track with the weather occurring at the... right... time of... the year... huh, give or take some global warming that is.
So, every four years, when the year is evenly divisible by 4, we lose a day to make up for this. The more complicated aspect is that if the year is evenly divisible by 100, we also lose a day. Unless the year is also divisible by 400, then we don't lose a day.
Simple, right?
So remember to set your clocks forward 44 minutes at noon today.
