We know what we'll be watching...

No, we're not concerned about the writer's strike.  This will go on for a while and then get resolved and all will be well.  In the meantime, we look forward to a few highlights:

• Several daytime shows that employ writers for their spontaneous banter will be "winging-it."  Wow, that's going to make for some great outtakes.  We're reminded of that scene from the Batman movie where the Joker has poisoned all the city's makeup; you watch the slow decay of the TV News faces on the inserted live reports from the studio. They look pretty grim by the end.  Even more hilarious when it's words they're tripping over.
• Well, they keep selling us all those TV show boxed sets, and there they sit on the shelf.  Time to catch re-explore the wondrous stories that Joss Whedon gave us in Buffy and Angel.  And if the UPS gods are with us today, we're getting the ultimate two-season boxed set of Twin Peaks this afternoon.  Are we going to miss Moonlight?  Nope, don't think so.
• Of course, there's also books....  nah, didn't think you'd fall for that one.  But we're ready to dive into the paperback version of World War Z, by Max Brooks.  Kind of like the Dawn of the Dead plot told in a Band of Brothers style.  Can't wait.

Of course there will be all the hand-wringing from the networks and celebs to watch... or maybe not.  That plasma gets more of a workout from Halo3 these days than ABC.
