We saw this one coming.  iPhone owners who tried to treat their phones as personal property, things they could modify for themselves instead of simply leasing them from Apple, got a rude surprise when they installed the latest Apple update.

They got bricked.

In fact, Apple seems to think they're honor bound to kill the phones of users who don't want to live within unreasonable restrictions. “People will try to break in, and it’s our job to stop them breaking in,” Steve Jobs is quoted as saying.

Hey kids, did you pay $200 too much for those bricks?
