The Universe's Biggest Sports Fan...
Isn't it a bit presumptuous for sports teams, coaches, and stars to "thank God" for their successes? Is God moved to support one team over the other based on the sincerity of their prayer, or perhaps the good sportsmanship one team shows over the other.
What is it with these guys? Of course we could ask the same when soldiers clash, or entertainers perform. God must favor someone, right?
Sure. Cuz it's not sporting otherwise... but for who?
| And wouldn't we love to hear a losing coach say something to the effect of "Boy, I'm not sure what we did to piss God off today, but we'll work on it for next week." |
