What is it about five years?

We seem to have a special remembrance upon the anniversary of 9/11, we're sure everyone does.  In 2001, we took the site down for a while. We relaunched 13 months later.

The following year,  we were able to make a somber joke.

In 2004, we ignored it entirely. We were on one of our literacy kicks.

2005, well, it was a bad joke. Suspect we were drinking that evening.

And this year, sappy Haiku.

It's not exactly the stages of acceptance, seems it's more a reflection of where we were a at the time. Kind of annoyed about that. Still, the towers of light were cool, and Bush made a bigger jackass of  himself than usual yesterday. How many times can he flip-flop in connecting and disconnecting 9/11 and the War in Iraq?

Wow, that was a divergence.  Guess it's a rambling morning for everyone. 

Here's hoping for another week of literacy about this time next year.
