W said back in 2003 that "if I learn that any member of my administration is responsible for the leak, I will take appropriate action."
Today we find out that Scooter Libby testified Cheney told him Bush had authorized the leak of CIA operative Valerie Plame's identity, ending her career and putting her in personal jeopardy. Plame's husband, former Ambassador Joe Wilson, was a critic of the Iraq invasion, and this was obvious political payback.
Seems like treason, cut and dry. But wait!
In a whirl of spin, we're hearing from a plethora of "legal experts" that Bush had the legal right to do so, but it was highly unusual. Funny how none of those experts have names just yet. Guess they're still rounding them up and giving them their scripts.
Leak, Piss... it's all the same. And he's taking one on whomever he pleases.
