Wrong Wrong Wrong Wrong Wrong...
Just read the news that this year's E3, the preeminent venue for rolling out new video games and other electronic entertainment, will be "banning" semi-clad booth babes from it's floor.
That's it. America has officially gone insane.
From the article
"What's new in 2006 is an update and clarification of the enforcement policies; as we do from time to time, we have taken steps to ensure that exhibitors are familiar with the policy and how it will be enforced," Mary Dolaher, E3Expo show director, said in an e-mail.
She's talking about a $5000 fine for any company that tries to bring a little fun and joy into the lives of thousands of nerds - most of which will otherwise never ever "get next to women this hot."
Further clarification:
"Material, including live models, conduct that is sexually explicit and/or sexually provocative, including but not limited to nudity, partial nudity and bathing suit bottoms, are prohibited on the show floor, all common areas, and at any access points to the show."
Man o man. What a bunch of haters.
Yeah, the event is in close proximity to Orange County - bastion of Stepford wives and community thinking that hasn't evolved since 1952. |
