Christian Cancer
Yes, there's a cure for cancer - at least an immunization against a variety of cervical cancer transmitted by the human papilloma virus (HPV). This vaccine is best administered to teen girls, ages 10 to 14, and will bolster their body's resistance to a cancer that represents 70 percent of all cervical cancers.
Sounds like good news, right? Folks getting their kids lined-up for the shot, no doubt about it. That's what good parenting is all about.
That is unless you're a member of the American Family Association. They're agin' the shot. Because the virus is primarily transmitted sexually they believe it sends a message of promiscuity to their sin-free-and-loving-it offspring. But not only do they want their girls to die a horrible death as punishment of having sex out of wedlock, they want the virus banned so educated people can't get it either. After all, Cancer is part of God's plan...not!
Yeah, these are the same dumb fucks who want pharmacists to decide if you can buy contraceptives or not (I need to check your driver's license and marriage certificate please!) and got Kansas University professor Paul Mirecki kicked out of his job and then beaten up because he sent out an e-mail mocking intellibent dezign. Great Christian values folks. Let's remind you that the hypocrites end up in the eight circle of hell, ditch 6 - right between corrupt politicians and theves.
Rest assured, we're not attacking Christians here. These frauds aren't Christians by any rational interpretation of biblical theology. They're a cancer in Christianity. They're another herd of small-minded restrictive assholes addicted to meddling with other people's lives. It's a heady drug that meddling, and the fact that they can cloak it in the disguise of superiority and wield their tools of judgment makes it all the more addicting. And more than a little scary to folks with higher than high-school education.
What can you do? Vote for education issues. Support your library, make sure it's buying is unaffected by agendas. Read. Vote conservative ass-licks out of office. Stand against the ignorant hypocritical fuckers. Do you really want your kid's world to be shaped by morons?
