It's National Infamy day...
Here's the day where we admit how confused we are about our relationship with Japan. Bombed by, then bombing them big. Rebuilding them, then out produced by them. The Japan that can say no is our ally, except when it comes to military maneuvers and business. Guess they're our ally in video games, manga, and Japanamation?
Of course, mentioning Anime reminds us that they're as confused as we are. It's all about the European characters living in Japan, whether it's science fiction or baseball stories. The only characters represented as real Asians are there for comic relief. That's just messed up.
So remember Pearl Harbor today. Never again, right?
