we get it... daily

Dennis Miller is back and... yawn...
We used to
thrill when we saw the pool tables and heard Tears
for Fears belt out "Everybody Wants to Rule the
World" on HBO. But then DM left and things got
soft around the edges. Dennis is apparently back,
on ABC (recall his Monday Night Football run...
shudder) with the stated intent of going soft on
Bush. "I like him," Miller explains. "I'm going to
give him a pass. I take care of my friends."
Dennis, who ever prescribed the mood control drugs
is not your friend.
Now we don't want to get off on a rant here but a
political comic who has already decided not to
point out the foibles of one of the goofiest
leaders of the world loses all credibility. Sorry
Dennis, maybe football was your calling.
Bill Maher's new Real Time has some promise for
filling in the comedy bite but Bill has to stop
apologizing every time he gets a good joke off.
It's pathetic and weak.
On the other hand we, like so much of the nation,
continue to appreciate Jon Stewart on the Daily
Show for ripping the administration a new one
every now and then. You go Jon.
